There is a lot going on in the NBA and a lot to talk about. Giannis Antetokounmpo, NBA star for the Milwaukee Bucks, is one of the top players in the NBA and is a top candidate for the 2019 NBA All-Star game. Giannis has been selected to be one of two of the captains for the All-Star game. Antetokounmpo is able to pick starters and bench players for his All-Star team. He has already said that he wants Joel Embiid and Russel Westbrook, NBA stars, to be on his team. Joel Embiid is a Center for the 76ers, and is one of the best in the NBA. Russel Westbrook is a point guard for the Thunder who is also one of the best in the NBA.

In other news, there is a rumor that Anthony Davis is going to be traded to the LA Lakers. According to the Los Angeles Times the Lakers offered the Pelicans Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac, and a future first-round draft pick just to get Anthony Davis on their team. If the Lakers give up Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball LeBron will probably not be that happy because Kuzma and Ball have a lot of potential. Also, if the Lakers add Davis onto their roster Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors will have a lot of interest in the Lakers. If the Lakers give up Kyle Kuzma they will need another shooter like Klay Thompson. Klay averages 21.7 points per game. If the Lakers give up those three guys they will need a lot more scoring which they will get from Clay and Anthony.

Zion Williamson, a Duke basketball star, is one of the best in the NCAA. There is a lot of hype around him about which NBA team he would up on when he gets into the NBA. Zion Williamson said ” Whoever wants me, that’s where I want to be at.” Zion averages 22 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. 22 points is a lot for a college player. In an NBA mock draft Williamson went first overall. Even though he got drafted first in the mock draft he might not get picked until later on depending on what the teams need.

In more news, Anthony Davis was fined 50,000 dollars for asking his agent to publicly request a trade from the Pelicans. Davis’s agent, Rich Paul told ESPN ” Anthony wants to be traded to a team that allows him a chance to win constantly and compete for a championship. “Anthony wanted to be honest and clear with his intentions and that’s the reason for informing them of this decision now. That’s in the best interests of both Anthony’s and the organization’s future.”

Luka Doncic, a very skilled rookie on the Dallas Mavericks, got another triple- double in the Mavs last game against the Toronto Raptors. Luka hopes this triple-double will land him a spot in the 2019 All-Star game, as he is the first teen to ever get more than one triple-double in one season.
