My Favorite Fruits

Fruit. Everyone needs fruit to live. It helps you get your daily minerals and vitamins that you need to survive. They are both delicious and nutritious.

Now, all fruits are NOT created equal. Some fruits are much sweeter, some smaller, some larger. But there are still some that are much better than the others. These are those fruits.

1. Apricots

Apricots are DELICIOUS. They are soft and sweet and juicy, especially if you are just pulling one off of the tree. I actually have an emotional connection to these fruits too, because I used to have an apricot tree in my front yard that I would devour fruits from every February/March. They have nice, soft, orange flesh and they have a unique flavor that I love to eat. They are refreshing and make delicious fruit leather.

2. Mangoes

Many people love mangoes, but not nearly as much as me. Mangoes are soft and most often yellow, with a soft nectar that is delicious to eat. They are sometimes difficult to cut, but it is always worth it. They are so sweet and tasty that it is definitely worth the mess to eat.

3. All Berries

OK, so I know I said only my favorite fruits, but I really can’t choose! I love raspberries and blackberries and strawberries and I couldn’t choose just one to put in this article. Berries are bite-sized and pack quite a flavor punch in such small portions. My personal favorite berries are blueberries and blackberries, because of their unique flavors.

4. Honeycrisp Apples

I love apples, but Honeycrisp apples take the cake. They are crunchy and naturally are super sweet, with a refreshing flavor that, surprise surprise, tastes kind of like honey. They are like Gala apples times two on steroids to make them very large. They are flavorful and sweet and taste great with salted caramel.

5. Pomegranates

Ok, so pomegranates are a pain to skin, but inside, they are delicious. The jewels are delicious and tasty and pop in your mouth. They are a nice, light snack, and I don’t quite get what other people are talking about when they say that they hate the seeds, but they are just fine.

6. Avocados

Avocados have to be my favorite. I LOVE avocados. They are high in healthy fats and various vitamins, and they are incredibly versatile. They can be made into guacamole (yum!), avocado toast (which is a DELICIOUS breakfast), and they are great in salads, and just on their own for a dip. I like to mash mine up and put a little bit of salt in, and they make a delicious dip for pita chips.

These are my favorite, of many, fruits!
