The next morning at dawn, the king greets us. “You will go through The Mangrove Marsh then to Saltmeadow Swamp where you will find the next pyramid. You first stop will be Tula Village which is occupied by the Avians. Best of luck to you, may the gods be with you.” We wave our last goodbye of Zocalo as we enter the marsh.

Already it becomes humid and hot the first steps in. We see Tula Village and rush there. The Avians seem shocked. No one has seen a non local here for over 30 years. “A foreigner!” the Avians squak. “Take us to your leader.” Merlin states. We arrive at the home of the chief. “Uh, ‘Mr Avian Leader’-” “Oh no, please call me Artchila.” he interrupts. “Ok then Artchila, we need safe passage to the Saltmeadow Swamp” I state. “Oh, Saltmeadow Swamp, well I would gladly, if you bring our Avian eggs back from the undead Aztecasaurs” he smiles. “Oh fine!” Robert sighs. “Great, they are located south of Tula.” he says happily.

We approach the Aztecasaur’s camp. We spot the eggs near one of the tents. “Arghhhhh” the tribesman groan. “Well, you guys ready for a fight?” We all nod. The Aztecasaur tribesman are very weak. We swiftly defeat them but sustain a few clubs to the shoulder or arm. We take all the eggs and leave.

We return to the village and give them to the King. “Faaaaaaaaaantastic!” the king squacks as he gives us the map. We leave the village. “Man those birds were annoying.” Robert complains.

The group enters the swamp only to find a colony of the Monquistan monkeys. We go to the small settlement. Monquestadors stand everywhere. “I think they are crazed.” we whisper to each other. They approach us. “Ahhhhh ooooh eeeee, welcome. Please come with us.” Considering there are about 30 spears 2 feet from our bodies, we were forced to follow. As we walk Allysa being the nerd she is, tells us about how in Spiral History, she learned about the lost Monquistan fleet. “I think this is it” she says sarcastically to make it obvious.

We see the pyramid tower over on the other side of the swamp. We enter the only ship and I guess the leader’s living quarters. It becomes awkwardly silent. I hear a rumbling. The wood ship begins filling with monkeys. “Dinner is served my children” the leader yells. “Oh god” I panic. “Hey Merlin, you still know how to cast that burn spell?” Merlin nods. He casts the symbol setting the ship on fire. Robert, being the Storm wizard he is, creates a water bubble around us that protects us. He guides us out of the ship then drenches the fire. After the Monquistan ship is destroyed, we flee towards the pyramid.

“Here it is team, the Pyramid of the Storm Eye.” I say. “Oooh, fancy.” Robert responds. We would out for the climb tomorrow after rest.

The next day, we can see the shield Allysa had put up had been damaged. “Looks like we got some enemies.” Merlin says. “Alright guys, time to climb.” We quickly reach the entrance. We see a second Umbra General. Monquistan bodies are everywhere. He was similar to the previous Umbra General except more of a skeleton. “Oh would you look at this, more food for me!” he laughs. “This one does not seem to be one of those shadow magic educated ones.” Allysa inspects. Before she can continue talking, he releases an ice ray shutting her mouth. Allysa breaks from it. “You are quite annoying. Guys lets get him.” Me being a master of Fire magic and all, gives me the advantage on him. Merlin shoots a stormbeam towards him. He shields him self in ice. I follow it up with a fireball completely decimating his shield. “Uh-oh.” he squeals. I finish it off with one large attack, decimating his ice like body. The second crystal is captured. Right as it enters my hand, it dissolves. We make our return to Zocalo. When we arrive, the king gives us a ticket to the Cloudburst Forest which will then lead us to Tierra de Brea. Tierra de Brea is said to be the location of the next pyramid.

A celebration is held for us that night. I drift off from the party and towards the night sky with the meteor in the middle of it. It seems to have slowed down due to our progress. I hear whispers that drag me to a cave just north of Zocalo. When I arrive, I hear an evil laugh of a woman. Morganthe appears in front of me. She was tall, wearing a purple dress and a spider web like crown. “I know you are here, do not try to stop me, you will fail. I will have victory over Light. The Spiral will fall.” she says in a ghastly voice. Right before I was about to say something she interrupted. “Do not speak child, as for I am a supreme being that will be your new queen soon!” she yells. “Good luck trying to stop me. The ritual of reviving the Lords of Night has already begun.” She disappeared leaving a shadowy aura in the cave. I return to the party. I do not tell anyone of my encounter with Morganthe as not to ruin the mood. I don’t even think I will ever end up telling them. I must keep our morale up. The next days ahead now drench me with fear.
