Finals Match-ups

The Penguins and the Predators have advanced to the Stanley Cup finals. Nashville was very impressive in these playoffs as they lost only 5 times. The Penguins had a tougher time losing many times, but as the Stanley Cup holders they can’t afford to lose in the finals. Predictions are saying Penguins will win the series in 5 games. So far they are on track to do that.

First Game

The first game was played at the Penguins stadium. In  the first period the Penguins scored 3 goals and the Predators scored 0 goals. First Malkin scored. Then Conor Sheary scored. Finally Bonino scored to give the Penguins a 3-0 lead. In the second period, the Penguins scored 0 goals while the Predators scored 1 goal. The Predators made it 3-1. In the third period the Predators scored 2 goals and so did the Penguins. First the Predators scored 2 goals to tie the game. Then the Penguins scored 2 goals too take the game at 5-3.

Second Game

The Penguins beat the Predators 4-1 at their own stadium. In the first period, the Predators scored 1 goal and so did the Penguins. The predators struck first scoring the first goal of the game. The penguins countered back by tying the game. In the second period there were no goals scored. In the third period the Penguins scored 3 goals, and the Predators scored none. The goals all came in the first 4 minutes of the period. This put the Penguins up 2-0 in the Stanley Cup Finals.
