Dreck’s mouth gaped in awe as Juge explained where she got the stone from. At the same time, Dreck’s feet automatically inched away from Juge, towards the door, little by little. When Juge noticed Dreck’s obvious attempt at evasion, she just stared at her peculiarly. She began to speak, “Are you trying to leave?” Dreck didn’t reply, she was too focused on the door. “What are you even do-” Juge said before Dreck started sprinting for the door. Juge grabbed a chair and through it in front of the door before Dreck could reach it. In retaliation, Dreck kicked the chair, cracking it into three pieces. Juge stared at her now, confused where her sudden burst of strength had appeared from. Dreck began randomly tossing the pieces to the side, trying to clear the way. Juge now realized what was going on. As Dreck threw a piece of chair to the side, Juge caught it midair. She hit Dreck in the shoulder blades with it, as she was beginning to open the door. There was a loud shattering sound as the piece of wood that Dreck was hit with fell into several pieces. Dreck fell over and curled up into a ball.

“Are you alright?” Juge asked haphazardly. Dreck moaned in confirmation. “You know, you’re too paranoid,” Juge spoke confidently. Suddenly, Dreck’s eyes flew open, and she began thrashing about, trying to run. Juge held her legs down so she couldn’t run. “Get of of me!” Dreck screamed in desperation. “Just let me explain!” yelled Juge in utter frustration. “You’re a traitor! Why should I listen to you?!” exclaimed Dreck. “I’m not going to murder you. Just listen. You know the atrocities that king has committed. He doesn’t govern, he just elects people to do it for him. He is just a figurehead. A disgusting figurehead who enjoys sexually assaulting women, as well as murdering them. Yet he continues to hold power. And no one questions him. The only escape is either running to the Southern Continent, or trying to revolutionize. We need you,” Juge said sternly. “What the hell are you talking about?! You’re insane!” Dreck screeched.

Suddenly, Juge took a crumpled up piece of parchment from her pocket. On it were several pictures of women, as well as captions discussing them. One picture dominated the page. It was of a pale, well-dressed woman. The caption alongside it said, “The queen of Totmord. Married into royal family of Seil in 1004 After Descent. Disappeared from Seil in 1008 After Descent. Current year: 1015 After Descent.” “This woman… She was meant to be married into the royal family as a peace treaty. The king abused her. He assaulted her. Some reports by underground newspapers claim that she committed suicide. Others say that her body was frail after sustaining so much abuse, and that she caught some sort of illness. And some even claim that the king purposefully killed her so that he could move onto another woman. Do you understand? This king… He murders people. He kills them because he wants to marry someone else. And then he murders his new wife to. It’s a never ending cycle of death. Tomorrow there will be a meeting in which the king will address the candidates. Take this stone. Use it on the king. Throw it at him. It will kill him,” Juge explained. Dreck stared at Juge. Her explanation was confusing.

“What are you even talking about?” Dreck asked. “Just… take this stone,” Juge replied. She forced the stone into Dreck’s palm. “I’ll see you after the ceremony,” Juge was talking in an almost depressed manner. “We’ll talk about the… plan for us afterwards. You know… the one about the Southern Continent.” Juge sprinted out the door onto the dirt road, leaving Dreck behind.

The choosing of the Queen of Seil shall occur in three days.
